West Sussex Midwifery

Maternity care registration for most women in West Sussex is typically at Worthing hospital or St. Richards in Chichester, or Princess Royal hospital in Haywards Heath.

All of these hospitals have a special care unit to provide additional care for babies who are unwell or born prematurely. However, if a baby is very premature or critically ill, they may require transfer to a unit with a neonatal intensive care unit.
